Shaft is what you get when a Californian who moved to Florida and writes like Bukowski meets a Dutch artist who can draw the most horrific visions with gory details which leave the taste of rotten flesh on your tongue.
Jorg de Vos, of Métal Hurlant fame, gave his best to illustrate this short story written by Juan Carlos Fernandez; a name you might not have heard of yet but certainly will keep your eyes open for once you’ve read what his twisted mind can come up with!
The pitch? Key West, Florida, two guys walk into a bar, and all hell breaks loose. ‘nuff said.
